Celtic Visions;

I did these two pieces as a gift for my adopted Grand-Daughter Jenna. She is the best friend and adopted Sister of the Grandson who set this blog up for me and I consider her a treasured member of my extended family! My Grandson and I got the idea for these from a Celtic Tapestry we had seen. I had been wanting to do some paintings for Jenna for a while now and this seemed like a great chance at doing something for her that I felt she would really like and connect with. I know she wouldn't mind me sharing her gifts with you.

My Best Works... thus far;

My Grandson set up this blog for me, and I gave him certain pictures to work with. I have allowed him to select what he considers to be some of my best pieces, to showcase them in their own post, separate from the others. These are the pieces he has selected out of the pictures that I have given him.

All Whimsy... Collection 1;

I am often commissioned to do whimsical pictures for people, especially of people with animals...... or for people of their animals; usually their pets. Sometimes I am also asked to take a Photo of a landscape for example and do a painting inspired by the Photo. So I am doing this post to show some of these flights of fancy.

A Whimsical Landscape I was asked to do from a Photo;

Modern Abstracts Collection1;

I love doing Modern and Abstract works. I posted one of these previously, but I am posting this close up of the painting, along with another example of this style which I have done.

Alaska-scapes Collection 1;

I have fallen in love with picturesque Alaska as a subject. It has a wild untamed quality. It has Mountains and forests, as well as Arctic Ocean-scapes; so there is plenty of diversity to keep one inspired. Like many people I am also fascinated with the Northern Lights and I love to include them in my paintings.

Colorado-scapes Collection 1;

I love scenes from Colorado. There is something about the mountains that moves most all of us. A large portion of the body of my work is dedicated to scenes inspired by Colorado.

The Tropics;

The Tropics have always been of interest to me, and I love the look and feel of them. Hawaii in-particular has always been a very important part of my life. Some of my fondest memories are when my husband and I were taken to Hawaii by close friends in order to perform their wedding there in 75. The Beauty of Tropical landscapes always inspire me.

That Old World Charm Collection 1;

Several times I have been commissioned to do Scenes from Italy, France, and The U.K.. There is an understandable fascination and draw to the old world. Europe is beautiful and elegant with grace and an almost spiritual aesthetic that pulls, and deeply touches the human soul. My best pieces that I have done, might be the scenes  of the Italian countryside. There is something about Italy that seems to both sooth and uplift my spirit, and I love trying to capture that essence in my work.

Faith expressed in Art;

When I found out about my diagnosis I was worried about what that might mean and then I remembered that my Fate rests in The Lord and every aspects of our lives are in his hands. My Faith is in him....and so I preceded to pick up the paint brush and put it to canvas and continued to do what I loved doing..... and I truly love the work I am producing now! I am having a fun-tastic time lol!

This is me with one of my modern abstracts;

These are just a few of the pieces of have done.... More to come soon and far better close ups of the art, I just want to give a sample of the work I do;

..................

I did not do the following picture! I found this Sacred Icon depicting Christ healing the blind and thought it was appropriate. We are all blind in some way and no matter which way we experience this.... be it physically, mentally, emotionally, creatively, or spiritually...Christ is the Remedy for all forms of blindness!
